Hitsaajankatu
Two Atex-certified high-efficiency extractors were installed on the roof of a pharmaceutical laboratory, requiring precise attention. We ensured the tightness of the extractors and ductwork to prevent hazardous gases from damaging the structure or environment. The ductwork was modified using specialized composite materials to withstand laboratory emissions. Installation was carried out in collaboration with a Spanish manufacturer, guaranteeing the system’s reliability and safety.

At the pharmaceutical laboratory on Hitsaajankatu, we conducted a precise and demanding installation of two Atex-certified high-efficiency extractors on the roof. These extractors were carefully selected and tested in collaboration with a Spanish manufacturer before installation. This validation process was critical to ensure that the hazardous gases released from the laboratory did not damage the equipment, which could lead to severe operational issues and safety risks.
The precision and complexity of the installation were due to several factors:
1. Gas Handling: The gases released from the laboratory can be chemically aggressive and dangerous. It was essential to ensure that the extractors could withstand these gases without damage or performance degradation.
2. Safety: Given that this is a pharmaceutical laboratory, it was crucial for all ventilation systems to operate flawlessly and safely. Even minor installation errors could pose significant safety risks.
3. Tightness: The ductwork and extractors had to be perfectly matched and sealed to prevent hazardous gases from damaging the structure or posing risks to human health.
The ductwork was slightly modified using appropriate composite ducts made from materials suitable for laboratory emissions. Using these materials was crucial to ensure the system could handle the substances released by the laboratory over the long term.
This project required specialized expertise and meticulous planning to ensure a reliable and safe outcome in the demanding environment of the pharmaceutical laboratory.
