IVAeris Oy completed a complex ventilation installation project at Ristipuro Daycare’s annex on Laaksotie 1, Vantaa, starting December 11, 2023. The project involved a comprehensive upgrade of the daycare’s ventilation system, including the removal of old ducts and the installation of new ones according to the plans.

We undertook significant changes to the ventilation system, installing several new energy-efficient heat recovery units (LTOs) and new EC fans. Ducts located in the attic were meticulously insulated to current standards. Additionally, ducts leading from the attic to the interior were equipped with rubber seals to ensure a proper vapor barrier. This major improvement not only enhanced air quality but also increased the building’s energy efficiency.

The project was lengthy and demanding, further complicated by Finland’s deteriorating economic conditions and a sharp rise in material costs. These factors exerted considerable pressure on both the timeline and budget.

Unexpectedly, the site also experienced a tool theft, resulting in nearly €6,000 in losses for our company. Despite reporting the theft to the police and our insurance company LähiTapiola, we did not receive compensation for the stolen tools. This was due to the necessary receipts being unavailable after a change in our accounting system.

Despite these challenges, our professionals completed the task, meeting the project goals. Throughout the project, we maintained our commitment to quality and client satisfaction, despite the financial strain and unforeseen issues.

Though not financially profitable, this project provided valuable learning experiences and reinforced our commitment to exceptional workmanship, regardless of external challenges. Upon completion, we also conducted airflow measurements and adjustments to ensure optimal performance of the ventilation system. This project exemplifies IVAeris Oy’s dedication to excellent service and customer satisfaction, even when faced with obstacles.
