Service Description

Airflow measurement and proportional balancing (ventilation adjustment and balancing) - we measure all supply and exhaust airflows, balance the system and hand over an official measurement record. We use the proportional balancing method, the most energy-efficient way to balance ventilation. The weakest valve is left fully open (the reference valve) and the others are adjusted relative to it. The result is a system that runs quietly and with the lowest possible energy consumption. After balancing we check the building's pressure conditions with an envelope over-measurement. The service is the right choice when the ventilation has never been balanced or the previous balancing was done poorly, after a ventilation unit replacement or duct renovation, when you need a measurement record for the housing company or the authorities, or when you suspect an airflow imbalance (draughts, moisture, odours, pressure differences). The service covers residential apartments and small commercial premises, up to 20 valves. It is not suitable for natural (gravity) ventilation, because the airflows cannot be adjusted from the valves. The price includes: measurement and proportional adjustment of all supply and exhaust valves, fan speed adjustment, envelope over-measurement (pressure-conditions check), an official ventilation measurement record (valve models, sizes, adjustment positions, K values, pressure differences, airflows), and travel costs in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The price does not include: repair or maintenance work, fault investigations, properties with more than 20 valves, or duct cleaning. How it works: 1. Book the service online. Send us the ventilation drawings and any old measurement records in advance so we can prepare. 2. On site we map the valve locations, measure the baseline and compare it with the existing data. 3. We open all valves fully, determine the reference valve and adjust the others relative to it. Balancing takes several rounds from valve to valve. 4. We adjust the fan speeds and perform the envelope over-measurement. 5. You receive the measurement record within a week.
