Service Description

An indoor air mould investigation with laboratory analysis, when you want scientific certainty about whether there are mould spores in the indoor air. The sample is taken on site with an Andersen impactor and sent to a laboratory, where the microbial concentrations and species are analysed. You receive a report that tells you concretely what was found in the indoor air and what it means. The service is a good fit when you suspect mould but there is no visible damage, you want to verify the safety of the indoor air for example in connection with a property sale, you want to confirm the cleanliness of the indoor air after a moisture damage repair, or you need a documented result for the housing company or the authorities. The investigation covers one room at a time. Investigations of additional rooms are ordered separately. The price includes: a specialist visit and air sampling with an Andersen impactor, laboratory analysis (mould spore concentration and species), a detailed report with results and recommendations, a walkthrough of the results with the specialist, and travel costs in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The price does not include: measurements of other indoor air parameters (CO₂, humidity, etc.), repair or cleaning of mould problems, or investigations of additional rooms. How it works: 1. Book the investigation online and we agree on the sampling time. 2. Our specialist takes the air sample on site. Sampling takes about 10-15 minutes. 3. The sample is sent to the laboratory. The analysis takes about two weeks. 4. You receive a report of the results and we go through them with you. The Andersen impactor is the standard method for indoor air microbial sampling. It collects microbes from the air onto growth media, from which the laboratory identifies the species and concentrations. The method is reliable and widely accepted for use with authorities and in property sales. If you suspect an indoor air problem but do not know whether it is mould or something else, we recommend starting with the indoor air measurement, which covers a wider set of parameters (radon, CO₂, VOC, humidity, temperature). The mould investigation is a targeted tool when mould spores specifically need to be investigated.
